Meet The Doctor
Dr. Peter is a Southern California native and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Irvine and his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery from the University of California, Los Angeles. He later moved to Texas to complete a 3 year orthodontics specialty program at the Texas A&M Health Science Center – Baylor College of Dentistry earning his certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology.
Setting standards of quality in orthodontic treatment, Dr. Truong is a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which is the only certifying board recognized by the council on Dental Education of the American Dental Association for the Specialty of Orthodontics. This certification is held by less than 30% of practicing orthodontists.
He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and various alumni associations and has also gone on mission trips to underserved countries like Mexico and Vietnam.
In his spare time, Dr. Peter enjoys watching and playing sports, yoga, photography, snowboarding, hiking, and traveling with his wife and 2 kids.
